SENNA – Opening Title Sequence
Beyond Time. We loved collaborating with director Vicente Amorin, the Gullane team and Netflix Brazil to create the opening titles for the limited series Senna. Our concept was Senna’s Dream, and this sequence is a hypnotic liminal expanse where time is suspended and Ayrton’s memories past, present, and future weave together. Our vision was to create a surreal experience that evokes Senna’s ’supernatural’ perception of time.
The production provided us with a McLaren MP4/4 car model, which our designers used to blend together multiple overlapping renders. Live action plates from the series were carefully threaded throughout and fluidly integrated into the warm romantic palette of the CG renders. We were always conscious that we were honoring a Brazilian national hero and a generational sports legend, and poured our hearts into crafting a piece worthy of his legacy.
