Obi-Wan Kenobi — Main Title
A new hope. On the Outer Rim planet of Tatooine, a young boy named Luke Skywalker must be kept safe, for both the Sith and the Empire scour the galaxy to find him. Director Deborah Chow asked us to craft a poetic and gritty title treatment that would feel authentic to her vision for a neo-western Star Wars series set on the desert planet.
After a series of material explorations, including metal, dirt, wood, and rock, the chosen look incorporates a coarse sand-grain tinted with the patina of ancient rust stains. To reveal the title, our artists created a particle simulation that swirls through the letters, forming the words in a mysterious sweep of wind and blown sand. LucasFilm’s Obi-Wan Kenobi is streaming now on Disney+.
